General Intercessions
for Holy Thursday April 17, 2025

 

Presider: In the work of Our Lord, Jesus The Christ, we are called to be members of the Kingdom of God. With confidence we now offer our praise and petitions for help in that Kingdom.

 

Deacon/ Lector/ Cantor: Please respond: “Lord, hear our prayer”

 

1. Guide, Lord Pope Francis in his prayers, preaching, and writing to increase the growth of the Kingdom, we pray...

2. Inspire, Lord, Bishop ______, clergy, consecrated religious to meditate and preach and teach the victory of the cross and resurrection, we pray...

3. Unite in a vibrant and caring community our parish to live the love of God for one another, we pray...

4. Cleanse, Lord, the hearts and minds of secular leaders in our nation to seek the common good over temptations of power, wealth, and prestige, we pray...

5. Enlighten, Lord, those who provide health, education, and safety in our secular communities to reflect your love for all, we pray...

6. Welcome, Lord, those who have died this week (list here) into the Kingdom in Heaven, we pray...

7. Help us, Lord, to remember in our prayers the intention of this Mass (name the intention), we pray...

8. We pause now, Lord, to lift to you our personal intentions of hand, mind, and heart. (pause) Accept these prayers as gifts on the altar along with our support for the Kingdom in this parish, we pray...

 

Presider: Father, we offer these petitions and praise to you for the Kingdom in our parish community. We ask this in the name of your Son, Christ our Lord, in the unity of the Holy Spirit.

Response: Amen.
