Celebrant: With the intercession of Our Lady, we call upon Our Lord...
Deacon/Reader:
1. For the world you Love, Lord, Help! Please, Lord.
2. Keep us “steady on You, our Lord, Jesus Christ, in these days of conflict, bluster of our leaders and wars and rumors of wars declared by those leaders.
3. For Your priests and the leaders who serve Your Church in the world You loved and into which You sent your only begotten Son to be with us Now in this time in history.
4. Give Your people the peace that passes all understanding and help us share Your peace with others we meet.
5. Give Pope Leo Your counsel, Lord and surround him with the prayers of Your people in this time of trouble with wars and rumors of war.
6. Bring Your healing Presence to the Palestinian men and women suffering terrible abuse in the prisons of their Jewish neighbors.
7. For Peace in Israel and Palestine, we pray, Lord.
8. For the President of the United States and for those with whom He is to share leadership; turn their hearts to seek peace, Lord!
9. For the poor and persecuted people all over Your world, those who remain hidden from eyes and hearts of world leaders.
10. Show us how to pray and what to do in these times.
11. We pray for God’s Truth to be proclaimed from every pulpit; raised in every voice that prays for peace and justice in the world You love.
12. Thank you for sending Jesus into this world to be with us now!
13. Help us realize in a deeper way that the world cannot be true or just when measured by any standards other than this: "For God so loved the world... that God put us here in these times to do justice and to act with mercy.
14. Show us the Way we are to go and what we are to do - now. 15. Help us do what You show us! Celebrant: Loving Father, hear us and in Your Love, shepherd us, always, as we pray in Your Holy Name, through Christ our Lord. R: Amen.
