Presider: We have heard of the patience of the Lord in the narrative of
the unproductive fig tree. We heard that God declares God as I am who is always
with you. With confidence let us offer our concerns to the Lord

productivity as he leads the Church in developing the Kingdom of God, we pray...

of the Lord by being mindful of how their thoughts, and actions further the
kingdom of God impacting our faith community and our nation, we pray...
3. That parishioners redouble their efforts at prayer and meditation, in fasting
and penance, and in almsgiving, we pray...
4. That first responders, military service personnel, doctors, nurses, and
educators understand their careers as a continuation of the work of Jesus in
healing and encouraging those suffering from discrimination, disease, abuse, and
alienation, we pray...
5. That Christians are mindful of the presence of God’s Word in nature, in the
expanding universe, in the seasons of change, in our families, and in everyone
encountered, so each rejoices with thanksgiving of God’s presence, we pray...
6. That corporations, nations, and people profiting from violence and war are
inspired by the Spirit to a change of heart. That peace and the common good of
all peoples are the motivation for diplomacy, economic policies, and joyful
peace, we pray...
7. That we gathered here overcome temptations like those the Lord experienced,
we pray...
8. That our faith community’s fasting’s provide food to nourish the hungry,
shelter for the homeless, and clothing for those in need, we pray...
9. That those who died this past week (list here) and those approaching death’s
door to eternity are encouraged in faith and welcomed by Jesus. That the

10. Let us raise to God our needs and concerns of hand, mind, and heart: (pause)

Presider: May the grace available in this
Jubilee year reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the treasures of
heaven. May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our Redeemer throughout
the earth. To you our God, eternally blessed, be glory and praise forever.
