From today’s Gospel reading:

Jesus raised his eyes to heaven and said,

“Father, the hour has come. Give glory to
your son, so that your son may glorify you....”

Reflection:

What can be so “glorious” about the death of this good man Jesus? What is there to stand up and cheer about? Maybe, because in his death, people will see how much he trusted God. He remained faithful, even through his pain and death. That’s something to cheer about. Glory to God!

So we ask ourselves:

• How would you describe the “glory of God?”

• Does that glory show itself frequently in our world? Can you give a few examples?
