GENERAL INTERCESSIONS

Feast of the Holy Family

(Cycle A)

December 28, 2025

  1. For Pope Leo, and for Bishop ____________, as they shepherd us through the imperfections of daily life, to grow in holiness and build families of faith, love and service, that become beacons of hope and God’s Light in the world, we pray to the Lord…

  2. For the newly married, and those living the sacrament for many Christmases; that as the domestic Church, they may look to God to sustain and form them, in respect, in trust and in selfless love for the good of another, we pray to the Lord…

  3. For all parents and grandparents, as they care and form their children in the faith, to know and to call upon the prayers of their supernatural family: God, His angels and saints and the People who are His Church, we pray to the Lord…

  4. For all those in our parish family who are in hospital, in skilled care and those infirmed at home, that they may know God’s strength and our closeness to them as we keep them in prayer, we pray to the Lord…

  5. For the family of nations, especially those fractured by violence, that those among them who foster wisdom and opportunity, may find a way towards reconciliation and peace; and for our First Responders, our military and their family, as they secure our freedom and that gift of peace, we pray to the Lord…

  6. And for our beloved family who have died, and the dead known only to God, that they may see the fullness of the Father’s House, readied for them in Heaven…
