From today’s first reading: ( Exodus 34: 4b-6, 8-9 )

The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;

by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes?

Reflection:

The stone rejected by the builders becomes the cornerstone. Jesus himself is the clearest example: rejected, suffering, and crucified, yet raised by God and made the foundation of our faith. God can take what others dismiss, overlook, or consider useless and give it new purpose. This can give us hope when we feel rejected or when our efforts seem insignificant. God may be doing something wonderful in places and people we are tempted to overlook.

Prayers:

·        Lord Jesus, you were the stone rejected, yet you became our cornerstone.

·        Help me trust your work in my life, especially when I feel overlooked or rejected.

·        Open my eyes to the people and possibilities I might overlook. Amen.
